Cookie Policy

What cookies pontiro.com uses, why, and how to change your preferences. Last updated 27 April 2026.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They are used to remember preferences, support core functionality, and (when permitted) collect information about how a site is used.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

We use a single piece of local storage (pontiro-consent-v1) to remember your cookie preferences across visits. This is not a cookie in the traditional sense and does not track you. It exists only to stop the cookie banner reappearing on every page.

Analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4. Google sets the following cookies:

  • _ga: distinguishes unique visitors. Lifetime: 2 years.
  • _ga_<container-id>: maintains session state. Lifetime: 2 years.

IP addresses are anonymised before being sent to Google. We do not run any advertising or marketing cookies.

Browser-side controls

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking all cookies, deleting existing cookies, and being notified when a cookie is set. Blocking cookies entirely may affect how websites work.
